I look at the list every day when I'm trying to motivate myself to do something, but there's no guilt involved if I don't do it. There's just a feeling of relief and accomplishment when I do. The trick for me is to put something on the list long before it needs to be done. Pressure does mount as time goes on so it feels great when I finally get it done.CheerfulMonkhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00934008738777906970noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1919990389384591379.post-28233573647715627132009-06-24T17:44:15.817+04:002009-06-24T17:44:15.817+04:00@ Jean:

O...What does give you a feeling of accomplishment? One good motivational technique is to start writing down what you'd like to do, small things are a great place to start, then look at the list at least once a day. As you do each (any) one write down how you felt afterward. The idea is to start taking small steps and focus on the feeling of accomplishment they give you. It is best to start with steps so small that it's ridiculous not to do them. The idea is to use inertia for your benefit.

Inertia--a body at rest tends to stay at rest. A body in motion tends to stay in motion. The first action steps are the hardest.Jean Browman--Cheerful Monkhttp://cheerfulmonk.comnoreply@blogger.com
